This lovely Morgan, Smarty Jones, was named after the champion Kentucky Derby Winner the year he was born.  Smarty covers country, looks majestic (it's impossible to take a bad picture of him), is well built, and a beautiful black color.  After six months off, we brought him from winter pasture, jumped on him and loped him around without a warm up and he never missed a beat.  He doesn't spook at anything and has been ridden by adults with various levels of riding experience.  Smarty will express his opinion with a rider with a nod of the head, a trait of other Morgan horses we've known, but will accept what you want him to do willingly and without a battle.
