Leire

Leire Grace_by Cindy Norman (2)
Leira (pronounced lay-ra). A sharp-minded, soft-eyed, agile, gorgeous, solid, very agile saddle horse.  She has tons of fun and does awesome moving cows!  Much different in temperament from Iron, Aster,  Triscuit and the other buckskins, she has so much spunk! She picks up on things very fast and watches a cow really well.  We've sorted off her a couple times and she does fantastic! We've roped and drug random things and she seems to handle it well. If she's laid off for a while, she may get a little squirmy and shoot any direction at any time.  She's so fun 😁

Rides trails with water crossings and reservoirs, other natural obstacles like timber, steep inclines and declines, narrow high mountain trails, grassy hillsides where riders spread out all across the mountain. Not nose-to-tail riding except on narrow ridges where it's necessary.  Obstacle/confidence courses (bridges, hanging noodles, water features, seesaw, fans and flags, tarps and crunchy plastic bottles over saddle and underfoot.)  Drags things, had ropes thrown off him.  Been ridden around dogs. Transitions and rates at trot and lope.  Good with feet, being caught and trailer loading.  Recommended for an advanced rider.
