Troy takes after his tall, barrel racing grandfather, Gila Drift at 16 hh. A gentle-minded, soft-eyed gelding, he can go any direction his trainer wants to take him.
Troy is a blast to ride, won a team penning class, and got a start with roping. He doesn’t freak out with cows going by him, you can pony other horses off him, his transitions from slow to fast in each pace are good, and he's gotten really good at using his butt to stop. Throughout Troy's training - whether obstacle training, trail rides, cattle work, exposure to barrels and roping - he has proven to be a sensible, willing, and quick learner. Check out the photos of our ten-year-old friend from Holland riding him out on the trail! He would have to duck his head to come through the front door.
