Fern, with her beautiful, curly mane, is a magnificent horse with a gentle heart. She is smart, alert and very sensitive to direction so appreciates a calm rider who is loose on the reins and relaxed in the saddle. She is confident and responds well when you match that confidence. She is great on the trail on a loose rein and has a lovely walk, trot and canter. A novice rider could be taught to ride her in no time. Fern is stout and would make a great hunting horse.

Interestingly, the Bashkir Curly Horse (Curly and Fern on this website) is the only hypo-allergenic horse breed.
